Added bonus is that the BT connection overrides the physical connection so basically anyone can connect to your speakers and play whatever they'd like as long as they are within range.

There is no code needed to pair the speakers via bluetooth, nor is there a way to turn off bluetooth. This is a piss poor design aspect that Klipsch chose to use to implement BT on the ProMedia 2.1 BT speakers. Otherwise, i think just a set of speakers un-Bluetooth would be the other alternative and as you mention this ferrite beads method i'm going to read up on it as it's interesting and still may end up as being part of or the solution.

So I did pair up the Bluetooth to the speakers and I'm waiting to see when and if my signal's going to be interfered or will reach out to the neighbors signal in the same way as if when i didn't have them connected or paired to Bluetooth. Thanks a lot for your intelligible information and i realized I do have the Bluetooth signal on the speakers or they are Bluetooth-ready and since i opted to plug in elec./wire i didn't think anything about it until now. I know that Amazon can supply a range of ferrite beads and I would be amazed if you cannot also find them on eBay. AM is incredibly easy to pick up - think spark transmiiters and crystal receivers - all it takes is a bad wiring connection before your audio amplifier, but the source of this is not likely to be AM !Īs you may have some difficulty convincing your neighbours of this problem and even more in trying to get them to fix it you may find that the judicious use of ferrite beads on your power cables may reduce, if not eliminate, this problem. There was a topic here a couple of years ago by somebody who was receving a local radio station over his computer, but that was an AM station. Only tonight thus far, it is staying on blue light, they've quieted down their party or whatever and i unplugged the speakers so as to some how feel like i'm resetting them and it's been an hour and though, there's no music, my computer's sound isn't back yet! So, i thought it would be a matter of time it will just stop playing or that is the speakers would finally just stop or whatever and if it's going to be like this and has been now 2 years, anyway, they may as well just stay the _ OFF because i've had it like this and there's no sense in not being able to find way to end this trouble and that manufacturer just didn't have any useful idea to remedy it!Įdited by hamluis, 15 February 2020 - 05:29 AM.įirst of all, if you have a two prong plug on the end of your speakers' power supply putting a three pronged adapter oon the end of it will not 'ground' your system, that third prong has nothing to connect to.ĭo you know how your neighbours connect their speakers to their signal source ? It's not the audible sound - what you will hear if you stick your head outdoors - that is causing your problem but a stray electronic signal from their system. If I add a three-prong attachment to the cord and plug it straight to the wall, i was thinking to try it to see if that would keep it within my computer or play my own videos and music and this happened like this evening, and low and behold, the speaker when it's on (always, of course) has bright led light on one of the speakers, of course, that i keep covered and it turns blue and you'll hear a beep like as if a mic was turned on beep and when the light turns from white to blue you know the speakers belong to them and that's it. outlet) but BTW they don't have the grounded cable it's standard cord with the two prongs to plug in and i plug into a surge protector box. The Klipsch guy that answered my question about this just suggested that I have a ground on the cord (they are not wireless, they plug into the elec. playing whatever their (Spanish) music is playing with the computer off, as well.

Ok on with the problem (and this IS) as i say whenever they put their music outside on the patio-i don't know if what kind of device, sometimes it's with karaoke it sounds like because they talk on mic etc.but it renders mine or my speakers.

This is an unusual problem w/the Klipsch pro media 2.1 speakers where whenever my neighbors play their music on the patio that is between their (front house) and mine (the back unit, separate from their house) my speakers play their music and if i have the sound turned up (because these speakers are not to power off or turn off, there is no power button for that, because they say it's hard or that is, they are not made to be turned off and so they are on always and i turn volume down).
